Terms and Conditions, and Returns Policy:
Please select your items carefully, and discuss the specifications with us (Deka Design Pty Ltd in Australia or Lasse Kinnunen Deka Studio in Finland) in detail if you are unsure of the description. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the colours and finishes as seen in the images as they appear on the screen to the customer. Please enquire if you would like us to supply timber finish samples or fabric samples. In this case some costs might be incurred by the customer.
Changes to orders:
Most of our items are made to order. Any changes requested by the customer after the order is placed, and if material has been ordered or production has commenced, may incur extra production costs.
Ready made items purchased from our online store (applies to items shipped within the EU only):
For purchases made through our online store, shipped within the EU, for ready made items only, we accept returns within 14 days of purchase. Within 14 days the customer must email us at email@example.com with details of the product, invoice numbers and date of purchase. We will response within 2 working days with instructions to deliver the item back. The customer must deliver the item back to our store (Deka Studio, Fiskarsintie 360, 10470 Fiskars, Finland) within 7 days of our instructions. Return delivery costs are at the customer's expense. We will provide a refund of the purchase price of the item or provide store credit for same amount. Any delivery, postage and administration costs will be deducted from the refund. The item(s) must be in the original condition to when they were supplied and must be unused, and a copy of the receipt or a receipt number must be supplied. Returns are not accepted for purchases made from our online store that have been made-to-order.
Ready made items purchased at our store in Fiskars or in Australia and made-to-order items purchased either in our stores or from our online store:
We do not provide refunds, exchanges or credits unless the item is faulty, in which case we will repair, modify or replace the item as deemed necessary by us. If a fault is deemed by us that it cannot be repaired or modified, we will provide the customer a store credit or exchange. Any fault must be reported to us at info(at)dekadesign.com.au within 24 hours of receipt of the item. Faults include only manufacturing faults, structural faults and incorrect size, colour, finish, material, fabric or configuration to that which was ordered by the customer.
If the item is damaged or lost during transit to the customer, this is not covered by a refund, exchange or credit.
Deka Design Pty Ltd (in Australia) and Lasse Kinnunen Deka Studio (in Finland) provide a structural warranty for 5 years from the date of purchase for furniture manufactured by us which is used in a private residential environment only. This warranty covers the workmanship and structural integrity of the furniture. This warranty does not cover wear and tear, third party supplied components or fabrics/leathers, accidents, damage done in use or in moving or storing the furniture, mis-use, lack of care or neglect of the furniture. Care instructions are available from us on request. For furniture used in a commercial environment a two year warranty from the date of purchase applies which covers the workmanship and structural integrity of the furniture. This warranty does not cover wear and tear, third party supplied components or fabrics/leathers, accidents, damage done in use or in moving or storing the furniture, mis-use, lack of care or neglect of the furniture. Care instructions are available from us on request. For small items, homewares and accessories a one year warranty from the date of purchase applies which covers the workmanship and structural integrity of the item. This warranty does not cover wear and tear, third party supplied components or fabrics/leathers, accidents, damage in use, mis-use, lack of care or neglect of the item. Care instructions are available from us on request.
We are not responsible for ensuring that these items or furniture are suitable for a particular application unless self evident or specifically detailed to us prior to purchase.
The customer is required to check that the goods arrive in complete and good condition. Any damage must be reported to us by email to info(at)dekadesign.com.auA limited warranty covering manufacturing faults applies to third party supplied components such as handles, hinges, door tracks, drawer runners and other componentry. Please refer to our product-based warranties for these specific components, available on request.
We will recommend fabrics and leathers in accordance with information provided by the supplier of these materials with regard to suitability for the application, however our warranty does not cover supplier's fabric or leathers. The supplier's warranty applies to any third party supplied fabric or leather. We does not accept any liability for the costs of re-upholstery because of faults in third party supplied fabrics/leathers. Any third party supplier warranty does not extend to covering a fabric or leather which is used against the recommendations of the supplier. It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that they have received the appropriate care instructions from us for any fabrics and leathers.
The customer acknowledges that at all times all intellectual property including, but not limited to, designs, techniques, methods of manufacture, photographs, specifications, artwork, text, patented inventions and registered designs remain the property of Deka Design Pty Ltd (in Australia) and/or Lasse Kinnunen Deka Studio (in Finland). Deka Design/Lasse Kinnunen Deka Studio does not authorise the customer to copy, distribute or publish the designs detailed in this quotation or to sell, loan, or grant the use of the designs detailed in this quotation to a third party.
